MUSICAL PROGRAMS PUBLIC SPEAKING & DEBATING WALKATHON |
MUSICAL PROGRAMS Bellevue Hill Public School has an extensive musical program consisting of an orchestra, junior and senior choirs, recorder groups and tuition in a variety of musical instruments. Twice a year a Soirée is held to showcase the talents of the musicians at Bellevue Hill Public School. Soirées are held at the end of Terms 2 and 4. Tuition Tuition is available for instruments including violin, flute, clarinet and saxophone. Lessons are held during class time and cost $27 per half an hour and $20 per 20 minutes. Orchestra The orchestra consists of students from years 2 to 6 who play violin, flute, clarinet and saxophone. Weekly rehearsals are held with a specialist music teacher. The orchestra performs at various school occasions. The strings also have an opportunity to perform at the Sydney Opera House as part of a large string ensemble. Choir
Recorder Children start to
learn recorder in year 1 and 2. From year 3 they have the opportunity to join
the school recorder group. The group has graded lessons once a week at
school but children are
expected to practice at home every night.
