CLASS 4MW The Rainbow Fish by Rhiannon A long time ago down in the depths of the ocean, lived a Rainbow Fish. He was the most beautiful fish in the ocean because of his beautiful scales and he was very proud. One day a little fish asked Rainbow Fish politely, "Can I have one of your dazzling scales?" "You!" said the Rainbow Fish, "Have one of my shiny scales! How dare you ask me!" Towering with rage the extremely hurt fish went and told all his friends. The next day as usual, the Rainbow Fish went to show off his scales but when he swam passed the other fish all turned their backs on him and swam away. Days passed and the Rainbow Fish became lonelier and lonelier Until the Rainbow Fish couldn't take it anymore. He asked a starfish for help and she said, "GO and ask the wise octopus, she can tell you what to do." After many thanks the Rainbow Fish went to see the wise octopus. When he swam the octopus she said, "Give away your shiny scales you will not be beautiful but you will be happy." Before the Rainbow Fish could reply she was gone! Later that day the little face came and pleaded' "Please, don't be angry. I just want one little scale." Without hesitation the rainbow Fish gave him one of his scales. The little fish swam away and showed it to all his friends and in no time at all the Rainbow Fish looked like all the other fish with a single scale among the rest. The Rainbow Fish was happy and never lonely again.
