Sammy the Holiday Boat Once there was a boat named Sammy. He was a house/holiday boat. He was as big as the ones you would see down in Darling Harbour. Sammy was very large, he was white and shiny on the outside and white on the inside too. Inside there were bedrooms and butlers, tutors and plasma screen televisions and two swimming pools, one in the inside and one out on the deck. The bottom floor of the three floors in this beautiful boat was all glass, it was 30 cm thick (just in case !!!) It was made like that so that you could see the crystal clear water and vicious sharks !! Sammy had a wonderful temper and was very patient. He was fun to be on !! He would keep you in extraordinary company and would cheer you up when you were sad. He was very entertaining and was hilarious. Sammy was helpful when it came to navigating and was fun to be on especially when he would jet across the water. In July, the 4th of July to be exact, at 9.01 am the Cooper family decided to leave Orange County for a while and go to Hawaii. It was very hot and sunny in Hawaii at the certain time when they wanted to go!! Halfway there Sammy broke down. Summer, age 13, and her older brother Seth, 15, and their mother, Marissa, went for a swim out on the deck as their father tried to fix the boat. Luckily there was an inflated motor boat in the lower compartment. They all jumped in and went to shore. They found a boat repair store up off the beach. They went in and asked the owner Michael if he could come and look at Sammy. He said he would look at Sammy. So off they went in the little turquoise motor boat, back to Sammy. Michael fixed Sammy. He said it was a very simple thing that needed to be done. As it was done they put the little boat back in the compartment and pressed the control to shut it and they all walked upstairs as the door shut. They offered Michael a ride back but he insisted he swim. So they said good bye and walked out the door, onto the deck. He hopped on the diving board, jumped off and he was gone. They didn't see him come up for air for another five minutes! But then they saw him, he appeared to be on the shore , ALIVE !!!!! They all began huffing and puffing because they were so worried that such a nice man like him might have died. Then they told Sammy to turn around and go back to Orange County AKA OC. " So much for that holiday !!!!!!!" said Summer and Seth. When the Cooper family arrived back in OC they realised that they didn't have to go on a super deluxe boat away to Hawaii because they had the money.!! They should just stay in OC and celebrate with all the other people who weren't so wealthy. They could visit their grandparents and go in the parade and have fun instead of going in their big fancy boat. PS. They still loved Sammy very dearly and they wanted to stay on Sammy, in OC for a while, which they did. by Amelia Art
