Matryoshka

Matryoshka, or nesting dolls, are the best known and most traditional Russian souvenirs. They are figures stacked inside each other, each one a slightly smaller size.
Matryoshkas appeared in Russia at the end of the 19th Century when a rich Japanese merchant brought one home from Japan.
All of the dolls in one set look almost identical to one another, except for some minor details.
The number of figurines that make up Matryoshkas ranges from three to twenty-four. However, there are six custom made Matryoshkas consisting of sixty of more dolls.
