Hebrew and Russian are community languages and Italian is the language other than English (L.O.T.E.). Students attend language classes twice a week. In most high schools learning a language is compulsory so this is an early introduction for students. As part of the language program, students learn many different subjects, such as: greetings, colors, adjectives, foods etc. as well as learning about the culture of the country. Learning is in spiral approach, which means: a new topic is learnt, it is revised and then built on. Language groups perform during Education Week and on Multicultural Day (a day where children dress up from different countries and celebrate the many cultures that make up our school). Special software programs are available in the classrooms and the Computer Room to support the Italian and Russian programs.
